For Existing Listings...

Before you start

You will need:

  • A MerchantCircle account (or the ability to create one)
  • Your business name, address, phone number, and website
  • Access to your email for account verification

Step 1: Search for your business on MerchantCircle

  1. Go to https://www.merchantcircle.com/.
  2. Use the search bar to enter your business name and location.
  3. Click the search button and review the results for your business listing.
  4. Click your business listing to open its profile page.

Step 2: Start the claim process

  1. On your business profile page, look for text such as “Is this your business? Claim your business” and click it.

Step 3: Create or sign in to your MerchantCircle account

  1. If you do not already have an account, you will be prompted to sign up with your email address and a password.
  2. Enter your first and last name and complete any basic account setup steps.

Step 4: Choose your listing plan

  1. MerchantCircle may present different plan options, including a free standard listing and paid advertising options.
  2. Select the plan that fits your needs (you can typically start with the free option).

Step 5: Verify your account and claim

  1. Check your email for a verification link from MerchantCircle and click it to verify your account.
  2. Once verified, your claim will be processed and you will gain control of the listing.

Step 6: Update and optimize your listing

  1. After your claim is active, log in and edit your listing.
  2. Update:
    • Business name, address, and phone number (ensuring NAP consistency)

For New Listings...

Use these steps if your business is not already listed on MerchantCircle.

Step 1: Check that your business is not listed

  1. Visit https://www.merchantcircle.com/.
  2. Search for your business name and location.
  3. If you do not see your business, you can add a new listing.

Step 2: Start the signup and add-business process

  1. Go to https://www.merchantcircle.com/signup.
  2. Begin creating your account. When prompted, choose that you are signing up as a business or merchant.

Step 3: Enter your business information

  1. On the add-business form, provide:
    • Business name
    • Street address, city, state, and ZIP code
    • Business phone number
    • Business website URL
    • A short business description
  2. Confirm whether you are claiming as the business owner or on behalf of a business.

Step 4: Choose a plan and finalize setup

  1. Review the plan options (standard/free and any paid options) and choose the one you want.
  2. Click through the prompts to complete account setup and skip any advertising add-ons you do not need.

Step 5: Verify and publish your listing

  1. Check your email inbox for a verification message from MerchantCircle and click the verification link.
  2. Log back in to confirm your listing details and make any final edits.
  3. Once published, your new MerchantCircle listing will be visible to users and searchable on the site.
